IBEW Cookbooks and Aprons Available

After the Progress Meeting in Calgary there were requests for more IBEW cookbooks and aprons. This is to let you know that both the cookbook and barbecue apron are now available through the First District Office.

Both of these items are produced by the Fourth District as a fund-raiser for the upcoming International Convention in two years. This convention will be expensive for the host district and you are encouraged to put this information in your newsletters so that the members know these items are available and at the same time it will assist the Fourth District. The cost of the cookbook is $30.00 and the cost of the apron is $35.00 Canadian.

Also available in the First District Office are garment bags with the IBEW #1 Canada Logo embroidered at a cost of $65.00.

Journal

Thanks to a number of First District Officers for their comments and contribution to the article in the September Journal about Canada’s Health Care System. Also, congratulations to Local 625 for their feature article on Organizing, titled Early Salting Pays Off in Nova Scotia as well as their letter from the Press Secretary to Local Lines. Also submitting letters to this journal were Locals 773 and 1739.
