I.B.E.W Fourth District conducted its’

Membership Development Conference

at the Rocky Gap Lodge near Cumberland, Maryland

March 24-26, 2009.

One Hundred Forty Delegates and Guest attended from 48 Locals of the District. Special Guest Dr. Richard Levins lectured on “Why Organize” and reviewed his publication “Middle Class Union Made” during the General Session. Separate Workshops for the Construction and Professional/Industrial Branches were conducted on day two and three covering a wide variety of topics “How Organizing Affects Collective Bargaining”, “Identifying Targets”, “Industry Nights and Job Blitz Action”, “Online Survey/IO Membership Development Policies”, and “The Online Organizing Library” were among the many important issues addressed.
