In a recent organizing campaign where a company had denied certain benefits to it's retirees the workers asked if the IBEW could help with this situation. After a little research it was found that most IBEW contracts have provisions to protect current and/or future retirees. This is what was reported to those workers. Of course without a Union the retirees are at the mercy of Management.
Below is a partial list (not all inclusive) of GAS workers that are represented by the IBEW, and who are guaranteed medical benefits after retirement because of their IBEW Union Agreement *.
