March has come roaring in, and with the Western winds a renewed hope that more work will come blowing our way. It is to that end the District organizing coordinator and my IR's are meeting with each Construction Local Union BM and Organizer to review their plan to secure all work taking place within the jurisdiction of the local union. We will then develop a District plan and assist with any overlay between jurisdictions, help coordinate, evaluate and put the plans into place.

We still have some members looking for work and we plan to use our very best efforts in getting everyone working! We have several conferences taking place in the next few weeks that will allow our locals who attend to get the latest trends as well as visit with other locals that are facing similar problems. I urge your participation and encourage those who have the chance to attend to bring back a report to share with fellow members, so that we can all be better prepared to face upcoming challenges in every branch of  the Brotherhood.

Our District Progress meeting will take place in a couple of months and I look forward to meeting members from around the District as we spend time with IP Ed Hill, IST Sam Chilia and other guests reviewing the progress of the past year and to develop a strategy for the upcoming one. As always the most productive portion of our meetings will be receiving input from our members in attendance.
