Bargaining Update 19 - July 9, 2009

The bargaining committee has been diligently working this week to come to agreement on several key issues. There has been movement in some areas; however more work is needed to bring our members a fair and equitable contract. Some concepts on possible solution to problems on which the parties have been far apart are now being discussed. There is still some way to go, and we will continue to work over the next few days to draft and review more language. We need to make sure there is a clear understanding on what has been and continues to be negotiated before we can reach agreement. As soon as there are more specifics to share, we will update the website. We thank you for your patience in this process.
