At the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard members from IBEW Local 2071 helped to get the union's message out to the workers by handing out informational leaflets. The leaflets compared Barack Obama's policies to those of John McCain.

Jay Studebaker, a member of Local 2071 says: "I'm out here this morning leafleting to try to get information out the members about the upcoming election."

Studebaker believes: "Everyone should be out here helping to get this information out. Information is power and that is how we make changes."

This election is about setting partisan differences aside and voting with our jobs and the well being of our families in mind. Studebaker says: "I am a life long Republican. I voted for the Democrats two years ago for the first time in my life and it's my intention to vote for the Democrats again in this election. Look at the state of this country, the state of the economy, the state of the military, and the mortgage crisis. This has all occurred in the last eight years. It's time for a change. Enough is enough. We need a change in Washington."

Studebaker says: "I support Barack Obama for President and Jeanne Shaheen for Senate. I think that this is what will be best for the middle class. This is what is needed to preserve the middle class in America."

Make a commitment to talk with one new person everyday about why you believe Barack Obama will be the best candidate to address the challenges facing the middle class. If we present a uniform voice, we win this election.
