What's New in Broadcasting:

CBS and FOX agree to extend NFL TV agreements

Great news for Broadcasting members of the IBEW; the National Football League has extended its deals with broadcast partners CBS and FOX through the 2013-2014 season.  This extension guarantees an additional 2-years of work for members of the IBEW who work under CBS and FOX National agreements.  For complete details see story links below.

About the Broadcasting & Recording Department:

From major television networks to small production companies, from HBO to PBS, the IBEW represents thousands of members who are an integral part of the broadcasting business.

With over 300 collective bargaining agreements, our members are engaged in every aspect of the industry.  These highly skilled men and women work at local television and radio stations of every network affiliation throughout the United States and Canada.  The IBEW’s national agreement with CBS covers all network news and sports and shows like 60 Minutes, The Late Show with David Letterman, 48 Hours, The Young and the Restless and The Price is Right.

IBEW technicians are vital to coverage of the vast majority of major sporting events in the U.S. including NFL football, Major League Baseball, NASCAR, the PGA Tour, NCAA football and basketball and U.S. Open tennis.  The IBEW has national agreements covering sports with FOX Pro Sports and CBS.
