Avaya Bargaining Update 8 - May 13, 2009

Today the IBEW subcommittee bargaining team met with the company to improve and add articles in the existing agreement.

The following were presented;

• Successorship clause
• GPS language
• On-call payments
• Return to work overtime language and payments
• Article 24 in lieu of payments
• Moving expenses
• 3% language
• Illinois wage zone and Chicago allowances
• Local 134 per diem
• Termination payment language

On Thursday the joint IBEW/CWA medical subcommittee will meet in the morning. In the afternoon the entire IBEW/CWA bargaining team will finalize couterproposals for Friday's bargaining session.
