Lawrence P. Curley Appointed Vice President

International President Edwin  D. Hill is pleased to announce the appointment of International Representative Lawrence P. Curley to the position of International Vice President of the Sixth District, effective February 1, 2001.  Brother Curley will fill the unexpired term of Vice President Jeremiah J. O'Connor, who has been named International Secretary-Treasurer of the Brotherhood.

Brother Curley's IBEW career began with his initiation into Local 2047, St. Paul, Minnesota, on March 27, 1967.  He served his local as business manager from 1970-1977 and as assistant business manager from 1967-1970.  He also served on numerous local union committees including the Audit Committee and the Negotiating Committee.

On July 1, 1977, he was appointed as an International Representative and assigned to the Sixth District staff where he served until his appointment as Vice President.

The IBEW extends congratulations and best wishes to Brother  Curley as he undertakes the responsibilities of this new position.
