Anheuser-Busch is doing a major expansion on a malt plant in our jurisdiction, with 98 percent of the work so far going nonunion. A small amount of the steel erection is all that is being done union. T. E. Ibberson, located in Minnesota, is a partnership with TIC (The Industrial Company). T.E. Ibberson is the design-building contractor, and they have brought in Greenway Electric from Wichita, KS, to do their electricalboth large nonunion contractors. L.U. 545 (em&i), ST. JOSEPH, MOOnce a year I am going to dedicate our IBEW Journal Local Lines article to a Local 545 member who stood above the rest. This years article honors deceased member Bro. Robert "Bob" Snyder. Bro. Snyder passed away in March 2002. He was a 47-year member and worked for the Beadnall Electrical Company for 35 of those years until the business closed. Following Beadnall, Bob worked as a building technician for the Law Enforcement Center in Saint Joseph, MO. Bro. Snyder dedicated 25 years of his life teaching Local 545 apprentices. I am proud to say that I was a member of the first class Bro. Snyder taught. His dedication and service to Local 545 was outstanding. Our sincere condolences to his family and friends. He will be missed. Bill Scroggins, P.S.
