RETIREES CLUB OF L.U. 103, BOSTON, MAThe Retirees Club held its first luncheon of 2004 with a New England boiled dinner of corned beef and cabbage on March18. Our club is pleased to have 50 new members. Events planned for this year include a golf league at local courses utilizing tee times on normal working days when weekend golfers are working to keep up with course fees. Retirees Club officers are working with Local 103 Bus. Mgr. Michael Monahan in an effort to Get the Retiree Vote Out in this important election year. Statistics show that 20 percent of the people who voted in the last presidential election were senior citizens. Our hope is to get all our retirees to support our Massachusetts man, John Kerry. Retirees interested in volunteering at the Democratic National Convention, to be held here in Boston, are encouraged to notify the local union. We know from past experience Local 103 always rises to the occasion. Congratulations and a tip of the hat to retiring Bus. Agent Joe Sheehan. Joe has served in several offices over the course of his 42-year membership. Leo E. Monahan, Pres./P.S.

RETIREES CLUB OF L.U. 143, HARRISBURG, PAAt the time of this writing the club was making plans to start the year with a trip to Washington, D.C. A visit to the Air and Space museum was on our list of things to do. We hope to do more traveling in 2004 and hope we will need a larger bus to hold the crowd. Our prayers go out to the families of all the brothers we lost in 2003 and all those lost overseas. Many retirees received service pins at our Christmas dinner. Four of the many recipients are pictured in the accompanying photo: 55-year member Stan Hawk, 50-year members James Sterner and Robert Cale, and 30-year member Arthur Miller. We hope to see many more of you at our monthly meetings. Claude E. Green, P.S. RETIREES CLUB OF L.U. 164, JERSEY CITY, NJWe wish to extend an invitation to any IBEW retiree and spouse.
