A group of six IBEW local unions that represent employees on Exelon utility properties are in the process of jointly establishing the Exelon Utility Coordination Council.

Approximately 8,000 IBEW members are employed at three Exelon subsidiaries: PECO, based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Commonwealth Edison based in Chicago, Illinois; and at Amergen, which operates a number of IBEW nuclear power plants.

The IBEW Exelon Utility Coordination Council will collectively identify common issues and work toward solutions that serve the best interests of IBEW members, while providing mutual support during contract negotiations and other dealings with Exelon.
