C. Sullivan, President of the Building and Construction Trades
Department (AFL-CIO) announced, on October 28, that Sean McGarvey,
vice president of the Painters union, has been elected to serve
as Secretary-Treasurer of the Building Trades Department to serve
out the unexpired term of Joseph Maloney, who resigned due to family
health issues requiring his return to Canada.
