Lake St. Clair.

RETIREES CLUB OF L.U. 252, ANN ARBOR, MI—Bus. Mgr. Greg Stephens, staff, and members of Local 252, wish to congratulate retired Bro. Walter "Walt" Skszek, on his mammoth Lake St. Clair, 56-inch, 38-pound muskie.

"Nothing like a day of muskie fishing on Lake St. Clair to celebrate your 81st birthday," exclaimed Walt. The chartered fishing trip was a birthday gift. That fish was the largest muskie ever caught with Caption Mike Pitiglio and his crew on "Muskie Mania."

Yes, Walt released the big fish right after this picture was taken. "There was a lot of talk about mounting this great muskie," explained Walt adding that this was never a real consideration for him. "Let someone else enjoy catching this fish on another day," Walt said. "I had my fun and I’ve got a picture to prove it."

Boise Club

RETIREES CLUB OF L.U. 291, BOISE, ID—The 291 retirees held their April meeting at the Great Wall Restaurant April 14. The local was represented by Bus. Mgr. Marc Bernsen and Sec. Dawn Walsh. Stan Brassfield won the door prize.

A petition was circulated regarding repealing Idaho’s "right-to-work" law. It is hoped that this law can be eliminated as soon as possible.

Retirees Club Pres. Don Harness advised everyone to have a living will. At the time of this writing the club was scheduled to meet May 12 at the Kopper Kitchen at 1 p.m.

Invitation Extended

RETIREES CLUB OF L.U. 466, CHARLESTON, WV—The retirees of Local 466 from the capital of Wild Wonderful West Virginia say "hello" to all the Journal readers.  "We love Mondays!"

Our meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month at the local union meeting hall beginning at 1:30 p.m.

All retirees are welcome to attend, and any interested guests (other local union members, craft members, contractors, etc.) are welcome as well. We totally support our local union and we really appreciate the support of our Local 466 Bus. Mgr. Dave Efaw and our officers.

We extend a personal invitation to all previous members of former Local 637, Roanoke, VA, to join us. We occasionally have guest speakers and we always have our favorite "bull session."  Food is always provided. We received our charter on May 8, 1989. We have a brand new union-built baseball park that would be well worth your time to visit located right in the middle of downtown Charleston. Hope you can join us!

Larry Fogarty, Pres.
