IBEW Member Remembers Carlin’s Words
of Wisdom for Working People

Anchorage Local 1547 member and state AFL-CIO President Vince Beltrami isn’t afraid to speak his mind, recently going on a right wing radio program and taking the host to task for spreading misinformation about the Employee Free Choice Act. It’s a trait shared by one his favorite comedians George Carlin, who died June 22.
Writing in the Anchorage Daily News July 2, Beltrami recounts one of Carlin’s last routines, an impassioned and angry account of the plight of working Americans today.
