A cable TV reality show is giving two IBEW members the chance to fulfill their dreams of getting closer to nature with guns in hand.

Escape to the Wild, produced by the Union Sportsmen’s Alliance, sends union members on the “hunting trip of a lifetime” and captures the adventures on camera.

In an episode aired on Valentine’s Day, Seattle Local 46 member Brad Dailly headed to Africa in search of big game.

While braving the searing Namibian sun and the sharp thorns of the Acacia tree, Dailly gunned for a wildebeest and a warthog.  He also sets his sights on a kudu, a spiral-horned antelope considered the No. 1 trophy for first-time hunters in Africa.

In another episode of the show, set to air Sunday, Feb. 28 at 9:30am on Versus, Sacramento, Calif., Local 340 member Jennifer O’Brine heads to Canada to hunt the elusive black bear. She comes face to face with a stunning variety of wildlife, including deer, elk and a mountain lion.

The mission of the United Sportsmen’s Alliance is to protect wildlife habitats and to guarantee access to the land for anglers and hunters.
