
Convention Attendees Donate to Families of Members Killed On the JobOctober 13, 2011
Attendees to the 38th International Convention were saddened to learn of two on-the-job fatalities involving IBEW members that occurred during the events in Vancouver last month.
Brother Pfannkuch had been an IBEW member since 2008. He was 33 years old. Pfannkuch is survived by his wife, Katy, and their daughters Macy and Samantha. A 20-year member, Brother Cespedes is survived by his wife. Cespedes was 44. Delegates collected a total of $14,910. Checks in the amount of $7,455 each were issued to relief funds at Locals 3 and 11, and the donations will be passed directly to the families of the members. Said International President Edwin D.
