Verizon Parties Agree to Thursday Sessions

Union negotiators will continue tomorrow, August 21, to seek an agreement with Verizon.  Top representatives from the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and Communications Workers of America will meet with their Verizon counterparts and the federal mediator Thursday.  Those arrangements were agreed to Wednesday during what union negotiators characterized as constructive discussions.

 The parties have been negotiating since June 16 on behalf of some 78,000 union workers in the Northeast and Middle Atlantic states.
