Convention Closes on Note of Solidarity and Goodwill
The 38th IBEW Convention adjourned at noon on Friday, Sept. 23rd following the close of discussions on reports from the Resolutions and Law committees.

Resolutions Committee Finishes Debate
The Resolutions Committee chaired by Boston Local 104 Business Manager Tiler F. Eaton and with Bloomington, Ind., Local 2249 Business Manager Carven B. Thomas serving as secretary, continued deliberations Friday morning on resolutions presented to the membership.

Law Committee: Debate Continues on Amendments
Law Committee Chairman John O’Rourke of San Francisco Local 6 and Secretary Ross Galbraith of Fredericton, New Brunswick, Local 37 guided the delegation through discussion and debate continuing Thursday and Friday.

IBEW Convention’s Pin Brigade
It’s a swap meet that gathers every five years, a kind of Antiques Roadshow, eBay and labor history association all in one. Several members—with hundreds of years in the Brotherhood—began networking before the word was even used. Kim Craft, Los Angeles Local 11 assistant business manager, says they came together to trade local union pins, but the focus was always about people and history.
