Cooper to Congressional Labor Allies: Keep it Up, We’re Not Done Yet
The past four years on Capitol Hill have been some of the best ever for IBEW members, with Congress passing massive infrastructure and energy bills,
The IBEW Government Affairs Department is committed to advancing the IBEW’s mission and improving the lives of all members through supporting education, advocacy, mobilization, public policy, and legal and administrative action. The political education and legislative activism of IBEW is developed and administered by the Government Affairs Department at the IBEW International Office.
This Government Affairs Department oversees one of the most powerful political action programs for working people. This includes:
Deploying legislative and administrative strategy
Developing educational materials on current issues and candidates
Sharing timely online resources for registrars
The department also delivers training for local union leadership, registrars, and state and district coordinators that provides attendees with the tools and knowledge to sharpen or expand their local political programs.
