The annual IBEW photo contest is a showcase for members to show off their skills with a camera and shine a light on their too-often overlooked jobs.

In the last 12 months, your brothers and sisters across the country have taken pictures that capture the life and work of the IBEW – building architectural marvels, repairing lines in natural wonders as well as images that capture less dramatic workplaces in visually arresting images.

Now it’s your turn.

The winning photograph is chosen from a handful of images winnowed from hundreds of submissions. The final decision is up to you, and it will be seen by hundreds of thousands of people on IBEW.org, the websites of dozens of locals, the AFL-CIO blog and other labor publications.

You can only vote once, so please choose your top three carefully and get it in before the Jan. 20 deadline.

Winners – along with honorable mentions – will be profiled in a feature story in an upcoming issue of The Electrical Worker, so stay tuned. If you missed your chance to enter this year, check back in May for next year’s rules and how to enter.
