Avaya Update #11

Todays bargaining with Avaya was disappointing at best. All proposals and counterproposals presented by the company to date have been an insult to all union members, past and present. This involves all job titles.

Avaya is insisting on concessions from our members. They have stooped low enough to ignore improvements regarding payments for military call-up service during national emergencies. Simply put, this means each and every one of us must act to show the company we are not going to accept givebacks to a company that has millions of dollars in cash reserves and continues to hand out bonuses to top executives. The company has twice as many managers as occupational employees but insists the cuts must be on our backs. Their healthcare proposals should make all employees sick.

As we get into the final days of bargaining, it is up to you to make local managers and customers aware of Avayas greed. Take a stand locally to get the message across: No GIVEBACKS!!!
