NACTEL continues its free, educational opportunities with upcoming virtual open houses in October.

Staying up-to-date on industry trends is important in any job. For telecommunications professionals, the National Coalition for Telecommunications Education and Learning makes it virtually painless.

NACTEL is hosting free, introductory webinars  in October for anyone interested in learning more about the telecom field and its career opportunities. NACTEL is part of a coalition that includes the IBEW, the Communication Workers of America, AT&T, CenturyLink, Frontier and Verizon.

Started in 1999 and run through PACE University, NACTEL offers associate, bachelor’s and master’s degrees. Students choose from five tracks covering telecommunications, video, mobile, networking and wireless technology. The curriculum is updated annually to keep up with the latest industry standards.

The virtual open houses will be offered at different times to accommodate as many schedules as possible. General information sessions will be held on Oct. 3 at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 8 p.m. Eastern time. Degree specific sessions will be offered on Oct. 10.

More than 500 students take an average of 2,500 courses each year.

Those interested in either the general or degree-specific sessions can register here.
