It’s that time of year. The nine finalists have been selected for the IBEW’s annual photo contest and, as usual, members have provided us with stunning images.

Now we want to hear from you.

Voting is open for this year’s contest and continues through Feb. 24. The finalists cover the spectrum of the electrical industry, with shots as varied as line workers putting up new poles following a destructive wildfire, technicians working to repair an airport runway, and inside wiremen keying and locking out a building.

Some of these photos contain majestic mountain vistas and striking sunsets, but others have a grittier edge. They take us inside the printing presses of one of the world’s great newspapers. There’s a peek into a parking garage, where a member bends pipe during construction. Another provides a striking image of Florida’s Gulf Coast following a hurricane.

They all have one thing in common. They celebrate IBEW members and their contributions to their communities.

Please choose and rank your three favorite images. Anyone can vote, so spread the word, but only one vote per person, please. The winner receives $200, the second-place finisher gets $150, third place receives $100 and honorable mentions all receive $50. The winner will be featured in an upcoming issue of The Electrical Worker.

The decision is yours. So vote.
